The performance will feature students second through fifth grade as well as the choir. All participants must be at the school by 6:00 p.m. December 16, 2010 to get ready for their 6:30 performance. Choir Fundraiser
Joins Forces with Gold Canyon The Moreno Valley Christian School recently completed their fundraiser selling Gold Canyon Candles. They were very pleased with the partnership and the ease with which the candles sold and the helpfulness of their Gold Canyon Representative, Beverly DeAvila (www.mygc.com/justforwicks). The group is raising money for outfits to wear for their performances. The choir, under the direction of Ms. Lynn Owens, will be showcased during the Christmas program to be held at 6:30 on December 16, 2010 at the school. Local Students
Training for LA Marathon The Moreno Valley Christian School Cross Country/Marathon Team is training hard for the 2011 Los Angeles Marathon. The team, consisting of students in the fourth through eighth grades are running consistently, working hard on building endurance and increasing speed. With regular practice sessions, led by Pastor Jack Clark and teacher Cory Clark the team is working hard to achieve their goal. In addition to training for the marathon the team is also participating in montly medal challenges. These challenges get increasingly difficult as time progresses as a way of getting ready for the LA marathon. "The entire team will be taught discipline, endurance, and the values of training," offered Cory Clark. If you are interested in more information about this team please contact the school.
